Dilip Kumar Passes Away: Marathi Celebrities Mourn The Sad Demise Of Late Actor
The Famous veteran actor Dilip Kumar has passed away at the age of 98. The actor had been ill for a long time and took his last breath today (7th July) at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai. Dilip Kumar's family friend Faizal Farooqui today informed about the actor's death on Twitter. He wrote, "It has to be said with a very heavy heart that now Dilip Saab is no more with us."  Many Marathi celebrities including Sachin Pilgaonkar, Swapnil Joshi, Sharad Kelkar, Sonali Kulkarni, Siddharth Jadhav and many more have also shared their condolences after hearing the news on social media.

Swapnil Joshi took to his Twitter and shared an old picture of Dilip Kumar and wrote, "अलविदा दिलिप साब !!! "झालेत बहू होतील बहू पण या सम हाच !"  " 


Meanwhile, Sachin Pilgaonkar wrote a long letter remembering the first meeting with Dilip Kumar and told everyone how respectful and kind he was. 

Sachin uploaded a video with Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu. He wrote, "A legend, Yusuf Saab. Truly a huge loss. I think we all hoped for him to be a healthy, happy 100. Maybe God decided that instead of suffering from ill health, it better to take him away with a smile. My prayers & love with Saira Aapa who stood by him strongly through all these years & truly was the epitome of love." Talking about his first film and working with Dilip Kumar, Sachin wrote, "As a child actor, I played his younger self in a film called ‘Dastaan’ and the second film was ‘Bairaag’ where he played my father and I had the opportunity to work with him which was a huge honor." "In 1976, I had performed in a Filmfare function award function and that night at 2 am, we got a call on the landline. My father picked up. It was Dilip Saab who asked to speak to me. I will never forget that moment when he told me that he had enjoyed the dance performance and I remember his words clearly “ Tum apne dance keliye jaane jaoge”. I didn’t know what he meant then but in 2005, when Supriya and I won Nach Baliye, I remembered his words. This gesture from a legend like him is something I will always cherish," he added. and in the end, he shared his condolences and disappointment of losing a versatile actor.
